Just a thought:

IF welfare is must be given out, who deserves it more?
Those who suck the life out of the nation by collecting a welfare "paycheck," not working at all and pumping out more kids?
Or those who produce, create jobs, and keep the economy growing?

As I said, just a thought.

Even the "progressive" libs blame Clinton:

Progressive Historians: History For Our Future

OK, so after the glass steagall act was repealed and banks can write a mortgage and... who cares if it gets paid? They can package the mortgages together and sell them to "investors". Then "invest" the money they receive...

Combine that with pressure to increase home ownership...

http://www.intellectualconservative.com/2008/09/20/the-glass-steagall-act-and-other-stories/

And when home prices drop...
Liberal Democrats are the Majority in Congress, no worries !

Someone commented a few days ago, I think it was Sassy, how could people borrow money they can't pay back? Do people know how to manage money? Much later, it dawned on me... there used to be a course in schools called "HOME ECONOMICS". Do they still teach that in public schools?

Some of us are not on welfare yet still struggle.Taxes are killing the middle class. It's ok to give money to million/billion dollar companies .

I think it is mixed in with social studies.

I say no bailout, let the fools lose the homes.

The rule applies no more than 25% of your take home pay go's to payment.

Read the above post watch the vid.

Its all a repeat of history.

Does this sound like you.

Politicians say more taxes will solve everything.
And the band played on.
So, round and around and around we go.
Where the world's headed, nobody knows.

If taxes are killing the middle class, just wait 'til Obama puts his new tax 'n' spend programs through!

Don't you see what will happen? Corporations will leave for countries with lower corporate taxes (every country except Japan). Those who say will pass on the costs to you and me. Employees will get lower raises -- if any at all.

Corporations will ALWAYS pass on their additional costs to the consumer.

And yes, I'd rather give tax breaks to those who PRODUCE something of value for our country and for us. I'm not saying corporations should get a free pass. And I don't know how I feel about the bailout. I do know the alternative would have hit us like we haven't been hit since 1929. If that's OK by everyone, then fine. But at least understand what was at stake.

Obama couldn't even come up with anything to do about it at all -- what a leader he'll be!

I am not sure any Obama programs would cost any more than the war in Iraq has cost us...yet you have no problems with that piece of expense in life and treasure.

If we can afford to bomb the hell out of countries, it would stand to reason that we can afford the programs to assist our own.

Hey dummy,

1996 figures, post kick the illegals out of USA.

At that time, the illegal alien population was estimated to be about five million persons. The estimated fiscal cost of those illegal aliens to the federal, state and local governments was about $33 billion. This impact was partially offset by an estimated $12.6 billion in taxes paid to the federal, state and local governments, resulting in a net cost to the American taxpayer of about $20 billion every year. This estimate did not include indirect costs that result from unemployment payments to Americans who lost their jobs to illegal aliens willing to work for lower wages. Nor did it include lost tax collections from those American workers who became unemployed. The study estimated those indirect costs from illegal immigration at an additional $4.3 billion annually.

Now figure 2008 figures, and there is no end.
