"the Ayers of the 21st century that has certainly done more good for people than either Obama or McCain put together" - Arius
"The burden of proof rests on he who asserts, not he who denies." Your proof is what? From what sources?

OHH, I don't have a need to defend Ayers...or Obama for that matter, so I have no need to do your homework for you (I would rather not waste my time). You, however, go droning on about something that only matters in a vain attempt to get uneducated voters fearing a presidential candidate that they should not fear. It is shameful and beneath you (I think).
At some point and time, the political discussion should turn to real issues, not rhetorical fantasies of fear mongering fake conservatives. I notice that over the last 8 years, the fake conservative mantra has gone from fear of losing rights to the fear of everything BUT losing rights. Now, you are attempting to get people to fear Obama, a silly and immature act that is indicative of why conservatism has no horses in this race. Issues, man, issues, like how McCain's ties to Georgia through his lobbyist chief foreign policy advisor could lead us to a much tougher war then the wasteful one we see in Iraq. Let's talk today and not decades ago.

Second, one of the critical issues is Obama's character. You can talk about erasing poverty all you want. Sorry to bring him up again, but Hitler erased poverty in Germany. He united the nation that had been brought down after WWI. He brought pride and enthusiasm and forward thinking to the people. He addressed all of the issues people not only cared about, but needed to be addressed. But there was one issue that nobody looked too closely into. His character. And boy, didn't THAT make all the difference in the end! |

Actually, Hitler's character meant nothing in the end because he was INSANE. Had his character meant a thing, the world would have been drastically different.
Hitler was an intelligent, brave, loyal and dedicated man, traits lost in his paranoid delusions of grandeur. This example is better served on McCain, ooops, forgot, this thread isn't about McCain. In fact, no thread started by Republicans is about McCain. How odd. No "McCain's plan will be great for all Americans" or "McCain's about change" or "McCain will..." Again, how odd that the only way YOU can support McCain is to attack Obama. It speaks volumes on how you vote, and how you make decisions that have dramatic effects on this nation. Good job... ![]()

You are right, because you cannot prove me wrong. You need to know about history before you can comment on it.
Hitler's deplorable actions do not erase his bravery as demonstrated in WWI, or his loyalty as shown in his blind patriotism (which led to his need for power), nor his dedication to the vision of Germany as he saw it. In Hitler, we can see the dangers of blind patriotism, or blind anything for that matter. He was so effected by Germany's loss in WWI that it created the monster that started WWII. Nor can you overlook his intelligence, he dominated German politics, and Europe before his insanity became complete. You can't dispute these facts Piney, no matter how "un-PC" stating them is. Wait, you are from the party that despises political correctness, right?
