The punchline from a TP speaker, a black radio host from San Diego. This cracked me up.

San Diego radio host Mason Weaver said from the podium: “I came here because I thought you might want to hear a black man speak without a teleprompter…This government is trying to make a nation of dependent people. Americans have always been independent people…This is not a Republican thing, it’s not a Democrat thing. It’s not a black thing or a white thing. It’s an American thing…We the people are telling them ‘No more! We’ve had enough!”

Is this a race card too?

or this (it's just missing the word "new" in it)?

or this?

or this?

Look, there is no doubt that racism is on both sides, but as a white male it strikes me as odd that since white people started it, it is up to us to stop it.

I'll bite. Why is it odd that white people would have to stop racism? You're not born a racist. Rather, you learn it from those you respect as you grow up. If white people don't stop teaching racism (to their children, etc.), how else is it going to stop?

Exactly. Thanks!

I can't watch the video right now. It must be about Robert Byrd!

It's OK. He is a Democrat.

Robert Byrd - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Check out the parts about:

Quote:
Participation in the Ku Klux Klan

Byrd joined with other Southern and border state Democrats to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1964,[18] personally filibustering the bill for 14 hours

He also opposed the Voting Rights Act of 1965,

Because of his opposition to desegregation, Byrd was often regarded as a Dixiecrat, a member of this Democratic Party wing that opposed desegregation and civil rights imposed by the Federal Government. However, despite his early career in the KKK, Byrd...
AT least he didn't say "you lie!" HAHAHAHAHahahahaha!!!!

Quote:
In the opinion of one reviewer, Byrd, along with other Southern and border state Democrats, came to realize that he would have to temper "his blatantly segregationist views" and move to the Democratic Party mainstream if he wanted to play a role nationally.[6]
So he would have to temper "his blatantly segregationist views" because it is bad politically for the party.

Seriously though...

Quote:
In 2005, Byrd told The Washington Post that his membership in the Baptist church led to a change in his views.
People can learn good things at church!!!

I wonder if that's like tempering one's "blatantly socialistic views" because it's bad politically for the party. As in distancing one's self from a racist pastor, terrorist fundraiser, communist appointee, etc. etc. etc.

Reverend Manning! My favorite preacher by FAR! (welll, I did not have one till now)

He does a video about the Prez's mom that is classic. He must say "Obama's Mama" several dozen times, and it's hysterical!

Remember, Chris Rock wins awards telling jokes that would end a white comic's career.

This is what the Rev is talking about....
