Can anyone recommend a reasonable surveyor? Also, has anyone in Camden County gone through the reassessment yet? And who did it?

We had our revaluation last year in Collingswood. I don't recall the name of the company that did the work. Our taxes went down quite a bit as a result.

If by land surveying certificate you mean Licensed Surveyor, that career track has the better pay and mobility.

If you are talking a comparison between a survey technician and drafting technician, you will have lots of options with either career track by way of exposure to different projects depending on the firm you are with. In general, a survey technician will be involved in a wider variety of projects than a drafter at the same firm.
1. Land Surveying tends to have project involvement in all phases of a project buildout; initial mapping, construction layout and as-built mapping.
2. Survey departments tend to take on construction staking for many different contractors. Internal workload alone is usually insufficient to keep the department bus.
