By the way piney, in case you didn't know, my name on the dark side is imturkish2. Of course it used to be imturkish until someone felt the need to eliminate me.

I may not be as articulate as some that where on nj.com., but I always tried to stick to real facts. As you said when you throw actual facts at some folks they don't seem to handle it so well!

Can't wait for you to jump in completely! It did take me a while to get used to the format, because the nj.com forum was so easy to use.

But once you get used to it, it's sooooo much better! You can cut and paste entire articles if you want, and I believe that if you cut and paste a YouTube video URL the whole video appears in your post (I've done that so rarely I can never remember how to do it).

Also, even though one or two people here get almost as bad as nj.com (Arius comes to mind), most of the dialogue, spirited as it gets, is much more based on facts and rational thought -- just the kind of debate we love!

I actually got defriended on Facebook when I asked questions about the Gates event!!! The guy was saying that the cops were the true racists, and I provided link after link refuting his claims. I didn't even offer an opinion -- simply provided facts that proved he was wrong (or totally spinning). Within one day I was defriended.

What's WRONG with some people? Debating should be fun! :-)

Hi Pineygirl, just wanted to thank you for being one of the few voices of reason over on the other forum. Its amazing how just a few people can seemingly suck the life out of such a good thing! I am by no means a conspiracy theorist, however, it seems that a certain segment of posters over there where able to manipulate the deletion and subsequent expulsion of folks like myself for no good reason other then their sheer frustration in their ability to change our views.

I am sure this forum will take a while for me to get used to, since I am a creature of habit, this can be expected. I will probablly sit back and just take in alot of the dialouge on here, and from what I've seen already, its a refreshing change from the other side.

It's always been a problem, and there's no rhyme or reason why posts and people get deleted. That's one reason this forum has been growing.

They just deleted the entire discussion about being deleted. Do you know that forum is the #1 reason I cancelled my subscription to the GC Times? I figured it was the least I could do.

I notice nobody's posting at all today. I wonder if a bunch of people were banned...

The wackos have taken over the nj.com forum and one of the worst offenders is not correcting grammer, caps lock overuse and lo and behold, still making religious statements. That was why I put out some of posts to you yesterday so I could prove that sane and logical discussion of a topic gets a thread deleted but when you rant, rave, and use vile language there is no consequence.
