Dr. Laura to quit radio after N-word flap

NEW YORK — Talk radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger says she's quitting her radio show a week after saying the N-word several times in an on-air conversation with a caller.
Schlessinger said on "Larry King Live" Tuesday that she "made the decision not to do radio anymore" because she wanted to regain her First Amendment rights and say what's on her mind.
She told King she would not renew her contract with Talk Radio Network after her contract expires at the end of the year.
Schlessinger got into hot water last week for using the N-word with a caller that she said was "hypersensitive" to racism. She issued an apology and said on her website that she was wrong in using the word for what she called an attempt to make a philosophical point.

Bed bugs were crawling on the draperies and the windowsill of the room. The hotel was very accomodating and upgraded us to a nicer room, but we were still pretty disgusted by the incident.
