Default Two Circles for Camden County College?

I thought circles were on the way out. But yet, taking a ride to see what the new off ramp on Route 42 that is supposed to alleviate the traffic congestion on a prior exit, I noted not one but two circles used to help alleviate the traffic congestion. Who's bright idea was this? The engineers must be questioned on this. But then again, they are probably players and connected to Norcross.

What a clusterfluck this is. Going through those circles is about as confusing as one issue can get. I've never was on a circle with more connections in my life. The signage is also very confusing.

And our federal tax dollars paid for this. And the off ramps lead to Cooper Hospital property. How convenient for them.

This will not alleviate traffic congestion. I guess Gloucester Twp will have to hire more police to be there to direct traffic because the way it is, the average driver will not understand where to go and this will form a backup.

It's like every other roadway project in Camden County. They didn't alleviate any of the congestion. They just made a bigger parking lot.

Has anybody else traveled College Drive?

I haven't driven over there in awhile but I find the fact that New Jersey is still building circles quite preposterous. Didn't the state recently undergo a huge renovation project to get rid of some of the circles in the area. Anyone that has traveled to other states, or knows people who have moved here from other states, knows that New Jersey is one of the last states still using circles. I think you're probably right SAdams, this was an inside job. Somebody benefited greatly from it and it is not the people who have to drive that area of town. Two circles? Come on, man! Just plain ridiculous.

I liv right off of college drive and started using it again -- one of the worst roads I've been on in long time. What is wrong with traffic lights? College kids aren't the best of drivers and circles will just add to accidents.

What company did the work? Who did the design? Is the project now complete?

Just wait until you have Rte 42 and the BHP merging on to those ridiculous circles. Hope a big truck never tries to go around one, it doesn't seem large enough for a fire truck.

The OP mentioned property that Cooper Hospital owns there, are there any plans that Cooper is planning on Building there, if so then those circles can become bad news.

Would those circles help or hurt Cooper Hospital?
