I am tired beyond belief of being called "closed-minded," when I and several other conservatives have considered the ideas of others before accepting or rejecting them. Those on the left cannot see that they have not even considered one of our ideas. Not one. They reject them out of hand, and therefore, are the ones who are demonstrating that they're closed-minded.
I'm beginning to think that the world is headed toward a one-world, government-run, nanny society and that there's little to nothing that can be done to stop it, because people like Arius, GL, and Faux SheriB demand it, and their voices are louder than ours.
I agree with Blocker on many of his postings except for the reason behind the reason that all of this is happening. In any case, we come out to approximately the same point.
I consider the next four or five years to be some of the most interesting the world has ever seen. I pray that we conservatives are wrong. I really do. Because the alternative will be too horrible to contemplate -- and there will be no turning back.

One-world... Canada moves toward private health care. We move toward socialized health care. We meet in the middle. Equality! I'm kidding, of course.
I heard a discussion this morning that make me think... the majority of people consider themselves conservatives. Capitalism better than Socialism. The numbers change quite a bit when just the younger people were considered.
Churchill said something like:
"If you are over 30 and not a conservative you don't have a brain, if you are under 25 and not liberal you don't have a heart."
That might explain part of it, but... how many of today's young associate Socialism with Gulags? Stalin? People just disappearing? Bread lines? Lines for toilet paper?
It's all about what the future holds for the young crowd.
If they think healthcare is expensive, wait until it's free!!!
HAHAHHAHahaha!!!
"their voices are louder than ours." That's what I meant when I asked who do you think of when you hear "political activist?" The left or the right? The conservatives aren't "organizing" people and busing them to town hall meetings, it's spontaneous. Hopefully the Conservatives... well, hopefully the sleeping giant wakes up. If Obama succeeds in doing that, I would be grateful.
I thank President Clinton and his tax-hiking self for the 94 election results!
